Terma | Room 208

(April 2019)
‘Terma’ is a music project of Salar Niknafs (electric guitars and drones) and Babak Navak (piano and keyboards). The duo was originally formed in 2018 and their music is a combination of ambient soundscapes, free improvisation and melodic experimentalism.

The track ‘Room 208’ was recorded in April 2019. Room 208 is a surreal space in Haruki Murakami’s ‘The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle’, which exists within darkened corridors of a subconscious labyrinth. The room is where the protagonist finds his innermost fears, reminiscent of Room 101, the repository of every person’s greatest fear in George Orwell’s 1984.
